Dr Praveen Sadarmin is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Narayana Institute of Cardiac Sciences (Narayana Hrudayalaya). He is a native of Bangalore and has been a topper even during his pre-MBBS days, having secured Distinction in both Xth standard (44^th rank for Karnataka state and a recipient of National Merit Scholarship) and 12^th Standard (42^nd rank for Karnataka state). He graduated from Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College, Kolar as a Doctor (MBBS) with ‘Certificate of Merit’ and went to England (United Kingdom) for higher studies. He trained in General Medicine in Oxford and Brighton and was awarded the Membership (MRCP) degree from the Royal College of Physicians (UK) following which he started his Super-specialty (Cardiology) career.

He has done 2 years of exclusive research at the prestigious John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford (UK) on Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (ICD) and was awarded the Doctorate degree (PhD equivalent) for his Research Thesis from the Leicester University (UK). He has been trained in both Invasive (Coronary Angiography, Angioplasty, Pacemaker and Defibrillator implantation) as well as non-Invasive cardiology at prestigious institutions of Leicester University associated Hospitals, of which Glenfield Hospital is a premier institute in the United Kingdom known for high quality cardiac care and Intervention.

Not only is he an astute clinician and an Interventional Cardiologist par excellence, his greatest strength lies in treating patients with compassion and has more than 10 years of Cardiology experience under his belt.

He is an avid researcher, with numerous international publications and Abstracts in high impact peer-reviewed journals to his name; has made numerous presentations across the world in most prestigious of the scientific forums (Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT – USA), EuroPCR (Paris), British Cardiovascular Society (BCS) – United Kingdom, Asia-PCR (Singapore), Acute Cardiovascular Care Association (ACCA – European Society of Cardiology), European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA) – Europace, Heart Rhythm Society (USA) and Heart Rhythm Congress (UK)) , and has been active locally with participation and presentation in Cardiac Forums as well as patient initiatives. He has moved back to Bangalore to serve the local community and is a faculty at the prestigious cardiac institute in India – Narayana Hrudayalaya as Consultant Cardiologist.
